Winter Visitors

The Del Rio Chamber of Commerce Winter Visitors Committee sponsors events including movies, lectures, trips, tours, and other entertainment. The activities, created to help visitors make new and lasting friendships, are open to any winter visitor and are Del Rio's way of kicking off the Winter Visitor Season. The Chamber of Commerce, the City of Del Rio, local civic organizations, and area businesses all welcome winter visitors to the area.  Information is located in the Chamber office or at Del-Tex RV on Hwy 90.  All Winter Visitors are encouraged to pick up a Gold Card for discounts from some of the local Del Rio merchants.  The Gold Cards are also available at the Chamber office or Del-Tex RV.

The Winter Visitor Appreciation Party will be held January 20, 2007 in the Del Rio Civic Center. The party is from 11:00 pm to 4:00 pm and includes our famous Border Buttermilk Welcome, barbecue lunch, entertainment and a DJ will be playing some of your favorite music to dance too. Area businesses will provide booths with information on Del Rio and the surrounding area. Call the Chamber office (830) 775-3551 for more information.

The Arts & Crafts Fair on February 3, 2007 and  is an opportunity for artisans to show or sell their crafts and to view and purchase the art of their peers. The fair is held from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and is located at the Del Rio Civic Center, 1915 Veterans Blvd.  There is a $2.00 entry fee.  Local and out of town vendors will have their crafts on display.
