There are currently 35 resident physicians on the medical staff.

The Val Verde Regional Medical Center EMS was selected "Best Public Provider" for the State of Texas for 1989. Other patient facilities include United Medical Center, Family Care Clinic, Family Health Center of Del Rio, Vista Verde Medical Plaza, and 3 nursing homes with 250 beds.

There are 9 dentists in Del Rio including an orthodontist and a periodontist.
